What is the purpose of this website?

Future Island School is an amazing institution that has taken on a responsibility to provide for the children of Offinso, Ghana who are too easily marginalized in difficult socioeconomic situations. Nearly 200 students gather each school day and receive abundantly what all children need to be successful—nutritious food, quality education, time to play and just be a kid, and loving care from adult role models. The global contribution that schools like Future Island make is immeasurable, and this website was designed in part to recognize those contributions. However, schools cannot run on noble ambitions alone, so this website was also designed in the hopes of raising funds to keep Future Island afloat.
